Dacor Oven Repair

No heat on an electric oven is the bake element most of the time, and you can usually see the damage: a blister or a break in the coil. On gas it's the igniter. It weakens before it dies, so the sign is the oven taking longer and longer to light. Running hot or cold is normally the temperature sensor, and that's an easy fix.

Samsung bought Dacor in 2016, and that changed where the parts come from. It's good to know before you book a repair. Ovens built before the sale and ovens built after it get parts from different supply chains, so the age of your oven affects whether a part is available and how long it takes to get here. We read the build year off the plate before we order. We don't guess. Mechanically, Dacor wall ovens fail a lot like other high-end wall ovens. Door hinges wear out and let the door sit crooked. Temperature probes drift, so the display looks right while the food comes out wrong. And control boards go bad on the older units built before the sale. The boards are where we take the most care. On an older Dacor a board can be the point where the repair stops making sense money-wise, and we'd rather talk that through with you before the work starts than after. We check the cheaper mechanical causes first.
