Gritty dishes are usually the filter or the spray arm, not the pump. Our water runs 16 to 28 grains here, which is very hard, so the little holes in the spray arms scale shut and the arm stops reaching the top rack. Standing water in the bottom is a drain problem, often the air gap (the little cap next to the faucet) or a kinked hose under the sink.

Samsung dishwashers watch closely for leaks and complain loudly about them. That's helpful once you know what the warning means. A leak code almost always means the float sensor in the pan underneath found water. It doesn't mean the tub cracked. The real job is finding where the water came from, usually the door gasket, the sump seal or a hose clamp. Clear the code without finding the leak and it comes right back on the next cycle. The other call we get a lot is dishes not getting clean with no error code at all. That's usually the spray arms, the filter or the diverter motor (it switches water between the upper and lower spray arms), not the wash pump everybody suspects. Samsung puts the control board in the door, where it soaks up steam for years. So a dishwasher that acts up or resets partway through a cycle really can be the board. We still work through the cheap mechanical causes before anyone brings up a board.
