Miele Washer Repair

A washer that won't drain is a drain pump nine times out of ten, and what's in the pump is usually a sock, an underwire, or a handful of change. Banging on spin is normally worn suspension rods or shocks. Our hard water is rough on the water valves where the hoses hook on, too. They scale up and slow the fill.

Miele washers have a honeycomb drum and a much heavier suspension than most washers on the market, and that changes how they break. The bearings last much longer than average. So when a Miele gets noisy, it's more often the drain pump or something stuck in the sump (the low spot where the water collects) than a bad bearing, which is what that noise would usually mean on a cheaper machine. The door lock and the water fill valve make up a big share of the other calls. Where Miele really differs is the cost math. A Miele washer is designed for about twenty years of use, so a repair at year ten comes at the halfway point, not near the end. Repair-or-replace comes out very differently than on a machine built to last eight. Parts are Miele-specific and ordered, not kept in general stock, and we build that into the timeline we give you up front instead of finding out later.
